- The City of Vancouver banned all plastic straws, including:
- compostable plastics,
- biodegradable plastics, and
- PLA.
- PlanTech’s Zero Plastic Zero PLA Sugarcane Straws do not contain anything in the following list and therefore can be used in Vancouver.
- Most plant-based straws sold elsewhere on the Internet contains plastic or PLA. Those other straws are not allowed for restaurants in Vancouver.
